Hot Summers Days, to the Swimming Hole, Bear Naked.

We arrived in Knight Inlet to see Bella and her 2 cubs foraging along the kelp line for crabs and isopods. Suddenly Mom entered the water in a big lunge and swam along the shore about 3 meters out. The cubs hesitated at first, but soon swam along. The frisky male cub, Knockers, kept trying to bite his sister’s ear. She would snarl and splash her claws. After a cooling dip, the bear family waded ashore. The cubs whined at Mom until she rolled on her back and nursed. What a miracle!

Grizzly bears and black bears, deer and wolves, eagles and an amazing array of seabirds, there’s always something to see on a Tide Rip Grizzly Tour!!!
